AirlineGeeks and COVID-19

It’s no secret that the past week has been tumultuous, uncertain and a bit disheartening for just about everyone as this pandemic has affected nearly everybody in our lives. As we watch our world gradually grind to a halt due to the COVID-19 outbreak, especially as the airline industry continues to be hard hit in all aspects, the AirlineGeeks team is here to continue to report on the overall impacts of the virus on our beloved industry.

For most of us, the gravity of this outbreak is virtually unparalleled to anything we’ve seen or experienced before. This has created an enormous amount of uncertainty for all with no clear path in view to resuming normal life as we know it, as of right now.

In AirlineGeeks’ seven years of existence, I’ve been fortunate enough to have experienced first hand the numerous aspects on the frontlines and behind the scenes that keep this industry running on a daily basis, as well as meeting and interacting with the great people that make the sausage grind every day.

I have never been as concerned as I am right now about the state of our industry. I’ve grown up around aviation, I’ve practically devoted every waking moment to it, and I feel its pain.

Aviation, specifically the airline industry, thrives off connecting people from all walks of life on just about every corner of the globe. When it is unable to do that or is restricted, it struggles and the world becomes more distant as a result. Connectivity is the name of our game, and the current state of our world is not allowing for that.

These are unnerving times indeed, and I’m continuing to stand by the industry that I know and love for consolation.

At AirlineGeeks, our global team will continue to share relevant stories and news articles about the outbreak and its subsequent effects on the aviation sector. In recent weeks, our team has been working around the clock to bring our readers the latest information, as well as continuing to share the inspiring stories about what makes our industry great.

We’re here for you, now more than ever, and we hope you’ll continue to trust in and turn to us for the latest updates as it pertains to our industry. You can view the latest by visiting this page or by following us on Facebook and Twitter.

Stay safe out there.

Thank you,
