Qatar Airways has resumed scheduled flights to the Rwandan capital of Kigali.
The airline restarted service between Doha and Kigali on June 25. Its last passenger flight to Kigali was over three years ago, in December 2021.
Doha-Kigali Flight Schedule
Qatar Airways will operate four flights a week on this resumed service. Flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
The route will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft featuring 12 flatbed Business and 120 Economy Class seats.
The resumption of this service marks the continued expansion of the Doha-based airline’s African operations as well as its commitment to operating across the continent, providing increased connectivity and choice of destinations via Hamad International Airport in Doha.
“Africa is a vast, growing, and underserved market. Increasing our network in this vital region underscores our commitment to global connectivity, working in partnership with African states to support the continent’s trade, business, and tourism potential,” Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori said in a news release.
The addition of Kigali to its route network bolsters Qatar’s capacity in Africa, which currently averages over 44,000 seats per week.
The airline now offers over 170 weekly flights to 30 cities across Africa.
