Key Takeaways:

Alaska Airlines announced Wednesday that it will install Starlink inflight Wi-Fi across its entire fleet, joining Hawaiian in offering Elon Musk’s satellite-based internet service.

The carrier said installation of Starlink equipment is expected to begin in 2026, with the full fleet outfitted by 2027. Once available, members of the airline’s recently revamped Atmos Rewards program will be able to access free, high-speed Wi-Fi capable of supporting streaming and other data-heavy applications.

Starlink, developed by SpaceX, is designed to provide faster and more reliable inflight connectivity through its low-Earth orbit satellite network. Hawaiian became the first major U.S. airline to launch the service last year, with its Airbus fleet fully outfitted with the technology.

United is also in the process of rolling out Starlink connectivity. The Chicago-based airline began outfitting its regional jets with the technology earlier this year.
