Editor’s Note: AirlineGeeks is proud to present our ‘Livery of the Week’ series. Every Friday, a team member will share an airline livery, which can be from the past, present, or even a special scheme. Some airline liveries are works of art. The complexity associated with painting around critical flight components and the added weight requires outside-the-box thinking from designers. The average airliner can cost upwards of $200,000 to repaint, creating a separate aircraft repainting industry as a result.

In what appears to be an endless stream of special liveries connected to its movie, the Walt Disney Corporation has revealed yet another partnership with an airline that will feature the latest Disney movie on one of its fuselages.

Air Canada has unveiled a special livery for one of its Airbus A220-300 aircraft inspired by “Zootopia 2”, the sequel to the 2016 movie “Zootopia,” featuring voices of A-list celebrities such as actors Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Octavia Spencer, and Colombian rock star Shakira.
The aircraft will showcase all the characters of the movie on the fuselage, with the logo of the new movie displayed right under the tail.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Air Canada to bring the magic of ‘Zootopia 2’to new heights—literally,” said Quincy Kelman, vice president of marketing for Walt Disney Studios Canada. “As Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde return to the big screen, this collaboration invites fans to embark on an unforgettable journey where storytelling meets travel, celebrating the spirit of adventure that defines both Disney and Air Canada.”
Third of a Kind
Two more Disney movies have been featured on Air Canada aircraft in recent years: in November 2023, one of its Boeing 787 Dreamliners unveiled characters from the movie “Wish,” and previously, in February 2022, an Airbus A220 aircraft featured a livery themed around the Disney and Pixar movie “Turning Red.”
“This special livery is an exciting addition to our broader Disney relationship. It reminds us that travel, like storytelling, is about imagination, connection, and a little bit of magic,” said Andy Shibata, Vice President, Brand at Air Canada in a press release. “We’re proud to share this moment with Disney fans and families who love the adventure of travel. We can’t wait to see the movie in theatres, and to spot a special airline in Zootopia, which bears a striking resemblance to our own!”
“Zootopia 2” opens only in theatres on Nov. 26.
Brand-New Aircraft
The aircraft chosen to display this new Disney-themed livery is a brand-new Airbus A220-371, serial number 55382, registration C-FHMO. It was delivered on Sept. 10, 2025, and it is configured with 137 seats, 12 in Business Class and 125 in Economy Class.
