French boutique airline La Compagnie is launching a new route to the New York metro area.

Starting in the spring of 2027, the carrier will connect Newark, New Jersey, and Düsseldorf. Flights will operate up to five times weekly during the summer using Airbus A321LR aircraft.

La Compagnie expects to be the only airline in the world offering nonstop service between the two cities.

“Düsseldorf represents a natural next chapter in La Compagnie’s development,” CEO Christian Vernet said in a news release. “At the heart of one of Europe’s most dynamic economic regions, with strong international businesses and longstanding ties to the United States, North Rhine-Westphalia is well suited to our unique all-business-class model.”

La Compagnie does not currently serve any destinations in Germany. As of September, it operates three transatlantic routes, connecting Newark with Paris Orly, Nice, and Milan.

Its fleet consists entirely of A321neo aircraft.
