Key Takeaways:

Contour Airlines will take over Essential Air Service at DuBois Regional Airport in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, early next year.

Regulators selected Contour earlier this month, and on Wednesday the independent regional airline confirmed it will launch connections from DuBois to Atlanta and Chicago O’Hare on Feb. 1, 2027. Service to Atlanta will operate daily, while flights to O’Hare will run five times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

DuBois is currently served by Southern Airways Express. The carrier offers flights to Pittsburgh and Washington Dulles.

Southern Airways Express will end service to and from Jefferson County on Jan. 31, 2027.

Contour will operate the two new routes with 30-seat regional aircraft. The airline’s service term runs through Jan. 31, 2031.

According to the FAA’s order selecting Contour, the carrier’s agreement includes interline arrangements with United, American Airlines, JetBlue, and Alaska Airlines.
