Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport has opened four new gates as part of its Terminal A expansion project.

American Airlines began operating out of the gates last week, the airport said Wednesday. The gates are A10, A11, A13, and A15.

The ongoing expansion effort will add a 140,000-square-foot extension, also known as the “pier,” to the existing Terminal A footprint. A total of 10 new gates are planned.

According to airport officials, the pier area also includes wider thoroughfares for customer flow, taller ceilings, and brighter windows, as well as new concessions, updated restrooms, and upgraded passenger amenities.
