Vietnam Airlines Looks to Expand with Cargo Fleet, Retires ATR-42s

In its annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday, Vietnam Airlines revealed its plans to sell and retire its sub-fleet of ATR-42 aircraft, in addition to its ambitions on establishing a cargo carrier.  The flag carrier of Vietnam announced its plans to establish a cargo carrier amid a recent surge of Covid-19 cases in the country, according to a report from VnExpress.
