The new Cape Town-Mauritius service will also be operated using an Airbus A320, seating up to 138 passengers in Business and Economy.

China Airlines currently flies nonstop to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Ontario, California, as well as Vancouver, Canada.

The addition of this new service brings the number of Delta’s long-haul routes from Salt Lake City to five, including London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Seoul.

American is bringing back a long-unserved mainline route. This market has not seen non-stop flights for nearly two decades.

JSX said the route is being launched through a strategic partnership with the Economic Development Corporation of Lea County.

Now owned by the Alaska Air Group, the carrier is connecting Seattle and Anchorage during the summer months with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

The airport will now offer service to all of United’s mainland U.S. hubs, including Chicago O’Hare, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, and Newark.

Just over four months since launching one of its newest routes, the Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier plans to reduce capacity in this market.

United is offering three-times weekly service between Washington, D.C., and Dakar, Senegal, as the airline grows its presence in Africa.

This summer, the airline says it will offer record capacity from O’Hare, with 25% more seats than the same period last year.
