William Derrickson

Bill grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he was exposed to aviation from a very young age through his family’s avionics business.  He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and had a 20-year career as a police officer, although he never abandoned his passion for aviation.  He continued to involve himself in the aviation community through his family’s business as well as his overall interest in aviation photography.  In 2007, he shot his first airshow and since then has been working to improve his aviation photography skills by attending many aviation events around the world.
