Frontier Airlines has announced yet another round of network expansion, continuing their aggressive strategy seen throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Following last month’s expansion, the Denver-based carrier’s new routes are based around its Las Vegas and Miami focus cities.

The airline will launch six new destinations from Las Vegas, including two new international destinations in Mexico. Although some of these destinations already receive Frontier service, they will all be new non-stop flights from Las Vegas.

Destination Start Date Frequency
El Paso, Texas March 11, 2021 2x weekly
Little Rock, Arkansas March 11, 2021 2x weekly
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma March 12, 2021 2x weekly
Wichita, Kansas March 12, 2021 2x weekly
Puerto Vallarta, México March 25, 2021 2x weekly
San Jose del Cabo, México March 26, 2021 2x weekly

In a press release, Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s Senior Vice President of Commercial, said, “We’re excited to announce six new routes and expand our already robust service in Las Vegas. We have made a very strong commitment to Las Vegas, which is one of our largest bases, and continue to build on our partnership with the Entertainment Capital of the World through the addition of new service. We look forward to continuing our outstanding relationship with McCarran International Airport and the fabulous Las Vegas community.”

South Florida Expansion

On top of the expansion out of the west, the carrier has added an additional route out of its rapidly-growing focus city in Miami. Frontier will start flights to its 27th destination from Miami on March 11, 2021 with flights to Cancún, México. Flights will operate four times weekly to the popular beach destination.

The new flight reaffirms the airline’s focus on expanding in Florida. Along with large expansion out of Orlando’s McCoy International Airport, the airline has placed extra emphasis on carrying people to and from the Sunshine State’s most popular leisure destinations.

On top of the newest Miami route, the airline has announced launch dates for two additional international routes from Miami, first announced in December 2019 but pushed back due to COVID-19. Flights between Miami and Guatemala City, Guatemala will launch on April 12, 2021 and run three times weekly to start. Flights from Miami to San Salvador, El Salvador will start the following day and operate four times weekly.

Along with the international routes from Miami, flights between South Florida and Ontario, California will start on April 12, 2020 and operate four times weekly.

Routes will be operated by Frontier’s fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft family. The airline operates Airbus A320ceo, A320neo and A321 aircraft.

All flights are already for sale on the airline’s website. Start dates and frequencies are subject to change due to travel restrictions and to match demand as necessary.
