Southwest Adds More Red-Eye Flights, Seasonal Routes

The Dallas-based airline extended its schedule through Aug. 4, 2025, on Wednesday with new routes and expanded seasonal service.

More Red-Eye Flights

Next summer, the airline is adding 13 red-eye flights, bringing its total number of overnight flights to 33. These additional flights are both existing and new routes, including:

  • Honolulu to Los Angeles
  • Lihue, Hawaii, to Las Vegas
  • Long Beach, California, to Baltimore/Washington – new route
  • Ontario, California, to Baltimore/Washington – new route
  • Portland, Oregon, to Baltimore/Washington – new route
  • Sacramento, California, to Orlando, Florida
  • San Francisco to Baltimore/Washington and Nashville, Tennessee – both new routes
  • San Jose, California, to Baltimore/Washington – new route
  • Seattle to Baltimore/Washington, Chicago Midway, Houston Hobby, and Nashville

These flights are set to launch on June 5, 2025. Southwest plans to begin red-eye flying in February 2025.

Expanded Seasonal Service

Southwest is also expanding its seasonal offerings for summer 2025.

Colorado Springs will receive its first international service on June 14 to Cancun, Mexico. The route will operate once per week on Saturdays.

Starting June 5, the carrier plans to bolster existing seasonal routes with daily service, including:

  • Austin, Texas, to Boston
  • Baltimore/Washington to Portland and Seattle
  • Dallas to Seattle
  • Denver to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia
  • Nashville to Seattle
