Air Canada is adding one of its largest aircraft on a U.S. route. Recently, the airline has been growing its transborder network, adding routes and deploying larger aircraft.

Beginning on Feb. 1, 2025, the carrier will fly an Airbus A330-300 between Toronto and Tampa, Florida. Ishrion Aviation reports that the airline will operate the aircraft on the route twice daily.

Previously, Air Canada planned to operate four daily flights between the two cities but added the two widebody flights instead. The A330 is scheduled to serve the route through Feb. 28.

According to Cirium Diio schedule data, Air Canada has previously operated widebody jets to Tampa. Between 2015 and 2020, the carrier operated Boeing 767-300s to the Florida city.

In addition to Tampa, Air Canada’s A330s fly to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Florida; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; and Phoenix in the U.S. The airline is also slated to deploy its unretired 767s to Las Vegas and Phoenix next year.
