Two longtime Southwest executives are set to retire in April. The Dallas-based airline announced the leadership changes on Thursday.

Tammy Romo – the carrier’s chief financial officer – will retire on April 1, 2025. She’s been with the company for 33 years, holding several high-level positions, including head of investor relations, controller, treasurer, and senior vice president of planning.

In addition, Southwest Chief Administration Officer Linda Rutherford will leave her position on the same date. Rutherford has been at the carrier for over three decades, starting her career in public relations.

“For more than three decades, Tammy and Linda have led our organization with vision, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Bob Jordan, president, chief executive officer, and vice chairman of the board of directors, in a news release. “Both have managed the Company through highs and lows — and Southwest Airlines is better because of their influence on many of our most significant achievements. We are grateful for their contributions, which will shape our future for years to come.”

The company said it would begin seeking a replacement for Romo but did not provide further details on Rutherford’s position.
