South Africa’s budget carrier, FlySafair, has announced the introduction of a new service enabling passengers to directly reach the iconic Kruger National Park from Cape Town.
FlySafair will introduce scheduled flights between Hoedspruit and Cape Town in October. The service will be operated with a Boeing 737 aircraft.
Services will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The first flight departs Cape Town on Oct. 2, 2025.
This service is FlySafair’s second route between Cape Town and the Kruger National Park region. The budget carrier introduced flights to the Kruger Park area in April of last year.
It launched flights between Cape Town and Kruger Mpumlanga International Airport (Mbombela) on April 2, 2024. This was followed by the introduction of scheduled services from Johannesburg to Kruger in August of last year.
Springboard to Kruger National Park
FlySafair is enhancing access to the central Kruger Park region and the wider Limpopo province with its new Hoedspruit service.
Hoedspruit Airport is situated adjacent to the Kruger National Park.
“Hoedspruit is a gateway to the Kruger National Park and surrounding private reserves, and we’re proud to offer travellers a more affordable and convenient way to reach this incredible region,” Kirby Gordon, chief marketing officer at FlySafair, said in a statement to BusinessTech.
