JetBlue is ending its reciprocal benefits agreement with TAP Air Portugal only months after launching it.
In a statement on its website, JetBlue said customers can no longer earn or redeem TrueBlue points on TAP Air Portugal flights after Sept. 30.
“No new bookings will be eligible for earning or redeeming after 9/30/2025,” the carrier wrote. “All retroactive points requests must be submitted by 9/30/2025. All existing bookings made prior to September 30 will be honored.”
The airline did not say why the agreement is being canceled.

JetBlue and TAP Air Portugal, the Portuguese flag carrier, first announced reciprocal loyalty benefits in February. The program was made available to members of JetBlue’s TrueBlue and TAP’s Miles&Go, and was the first time JetBlue allowed the redemption of points on flights operated by a European partner.
TAP Air Portugal is Portugal’s largest airline, a member of Star Alliance, and the largest single operator of flights between Europe and Brazil. Earlier this month, the Portuguese government relaunched its stalled, yearslong effort to privatize the carrier, and plans to sell a 49.9% stake within a year’s time. More of the company could be sold off later, government officials have said, including to employees.
