The seasonal service will end about three weeks later than originally scheduled.

Alaska Airlines is reportedly extending its planned service between Seattle and Iceland next year.

The carrier announced in August that nonstop flights to Keflavík International Airport, near Reykjavík, will start May 28, 2026. According to AeroRoutes, the service was supposed to end Aug. 18 but will be extended to Sept. 7.

Alaska did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the extension.

The carrier has not previously served Iceland. It plans to operate the route using a Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Alaska also plans to launch service from Seattle to London and Rome in May 2026 as it looks to expand its presence in Europe.
