United is moving to strengthen service between two Midwestern markets.

Starting March 29, the carrier will operate a fifth daily flight between Duluth, Minnesota, and Chicago O’Hare. The Duluth Airport Authority announced the change on Monday.

The increased service will give travelers more flexibility and expand access to United’s network out of O’Hare, airport officials said.

“The additional capacity provided by this added frequency from United Airlines is a strong vote of confidence in our market and the passengers who rely on Duluth International Airport,” Tom Werner, executive director of the airport authority, said in a news release. “It gives our travelers an additional early morning departure from DLH that allows for single day business trips to Chicago as well as expanded access to a wide variety of domestic and international itineraries.”

The connection to Chicago is United’s only route at Duluth. Delta also operates a single route from Duluth, to Minneapolis/Saint Paul.
