Tickets are now available for seats on United Boeing 787s with new, premium-focused Elevated interiors.
The United Elevated configuration, first announced last May, features 99 premium seats, including eight new Polaris Studio suites, which are making their official debut. United has teased the business-class product as among the most luxurious and private of any U.S. airline.
The carrier said Thursday that the Elevated Dreamliners may pop up on its domestic route between Houston and San Francisco in the coming weeks before entering international service next month. The upgraded airplanes will connect San Francisco and Singapore starting April 22 and San Francisco and London beginning April 30.
“Our new aircraft redefines international long-haul flying, providing travelers upgraded amenities and experiences in every cabin,” Andrew Nocella, United’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, said in a news release. “We’re constantly pioneering new ways to differentiate our customers’ experience in every seat, and we’re confident they will love it.”
According to United, the Polaris Studio suites come with fully lie-flat seats, privacy doors, an ottoman with a seatbelt for a visiting companion, a 27-inch 4K screen, Saks Fifth Avenue bedding and pillows, hoodie pajamas, slippers, a caviar amuse-bouche service, noise-canceling headphones, amenity kits, and branded playing cards.
Behind the Polaris Studio suites are 56 Polaris seats, which are getting an upgrade in the form of sliding doors and larger 19-inch seatback screens. Both Polaris Studio and Polaris customers will get access to an on-board “grab and go” snack bar.
Completing the layout are 35 Premium Plus seats, 39 Economy Plus seats, and 84 Economy seats.
Premium Plus customers are getting privacy dividers, wireless device charging, and built-in reading lights, all firsts for the section.
United plans to have at least 30 787-9s with Elevated interiors flying by the end of 2027.
