British Airways has begun flying between London Heathrow and the island of Guernsey.
The carrier will operate the service daily, on a year‑round basis.
The route was last served in 2020 by regional carrier Flybe, which ceased operations in March of that year. The new flight is the only nonstop service linking Guernsey with Heathrow.
Chief planning and strategy officer at British Airways, Neil Chernoff, said the route is an important addition to BA’s network as it strengthens connectivity between the Channel Islands and the British capital. It also opens up access to other destinations.
The Committee for Economic Development is supporting the new service through a public subsidy.
