Alaska Airlines on Thursday announced its 50th nonstop destination from San Diego.
Starting Dec. 19, the carrier will connect San Diego and Loreto, Mexico. Flights will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using Embraer E175 aircraft operated by SkyWest.
The seasonal service will end April 28, 2027, Alaska said.
Loreto is located in Baja California Sur, on the Gulf of California. It is a well-known tourist destination, renowned for its scenic beaches and sport fishing.
Alaska said it will be the only carrier in the world linking San Diego and Loreto with nonstop service.
Tickets are now available for purchase.
