The Chicago Department of Aviation announced the planned airfield changes as part of ongoing safety improvements at the city’s second-busiest airport.

A U.S. Navy sailor was arrested Tuesday after allegedly falsely reporting a bomb threat while aboard a Hawaiian Airlines flight departing from San Diego.

Flight 3506, operating from Orlando, experienced a hard landing that resulted in landing gear damage and engine issues during a go-around attempt.

Despite ongoing “macro uncertainty,” the airline stated that recent booking activity supports its expectations for the quarter.

Allegiant announced the addition of five new nonstop routes, expanding its network in eight cities across the United States.

The carrier – which began operations in 2020 – serves four destinations in America: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Ontario, California, along with Seattle.

Lufthansa plans to add more Airbus A380 flights to the U.S. this winter. The carrier operates the superjumbo jet in a handful of markets from its Munich hub.

The airport, located in southwestern New York state, has submitted a proposal to the Department of Transportation requesting reinstatement of EAS subsidies.

American plans to bolster its intra-Florida network with the return of a route last served by the airline in January 2009.

Lufthansa had previously required a cabin crew member to remain on the flight deck whenever one pilot was absent, a procedure that was later changed.
