Sydney-based Qantas Airways on Saturday launched the first ever nonstop flight between Europe and Australia as the inaugural flight lifted off at 6:49 p.m. local time in Perth, Australia, bound for London. The Boeing 787-9
Qantas has confirmed that they will begin offering non-stop service from Australia to Europe. The flight will be the first non-stop flight to a European country from Australia, and will operate from Perth (PER) to London-Heathrow (LHR).
In reflection of their fleet modernization efforts, American has taken delivery of their first 787-9 Dreamliner. The extended Dreamliner variant was delivered to the airline on Tuesday from Boeing’s manufacturing facility in Charleston, South Carolina.
