The aviation community has responded in mass with condolences for the deceased and support for PSA Airlines following the deadly crash.

One of the two pilots onboard the PSA Airlines flight that crashed near Reagan National Airport on Wednesday has been identified.

Just hours after the deadly crash, President Trump said that DEI hiring policies were to blame for Wednesday’s aircraft collision in D.C.

The Delta Airbus A350-900 that collided with a CRJ-900 in September returned to service last week after undergoing repairs.

Delta is bolstering its regional network next year, adding two more routes from New York’s LaGuardia Airport, one of which is new.

Currently, the regional airline giant operates a handful of the premium-heavy 50-seat jets for Delta Connection and soon United Express.

PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group, said on Tuesday that it will be adding 14 CRJ-900NG aircraft to its fleet.

Mesa Air Group — the parent company of Mesa Airlines — reported a net loss of $19.9 million for the fiscal third quarter of 2024.

SkyWest is set to begin operating CRJ-550s for United in December with an “opportunity for more in the future,” the airline said in its release. 

Delta plans to restore all of its regional flying to pre-pandemic levels by next summer, the airline said during an earnings call on Thursday.
