Initially, the new base will have between 130 and 170 total crew members assigned. The airline already has a maintenance base at the North Carolina airport.
Delta is adding more CRJ-500 flights to its network, with the SkyWest-operated aircraft now flying out of Delta’s hub in Detroit.
The 50-seat CRJ-200, one of the most unanimously hated aircraft in the skies today, is still flying within the Delta network after its late 2023 retirement.
