The Indian airline will end service to one of its five U.S. markets next month, citing airspace closures and planned interior upgrades for its 787-8 fleet.
United is set to expand its transatlantic operations from Ireland, announcing increased capacity and flight frequency to the U.S. starting this year.
The airport will now offer service to all of United’s mainland U.S. hubs, including Chicago O’Hare, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, and Newark.
United is offering three-times weekly service between Washington, D.C., and Dakar, Senegal, as the airline grows its presence in Africa.
The 20,000-square-foot facility is located near the airline’s Dulles hub – which also saw significant investment from the airline in December 2024.
The carrier’s 747 fleet has flown to a handful of U.S. markets in the past but only regularly serves New York-JFK at the time of writing.
With some airlines – including American and Delta – cutting daytime flights to Europe, United plans to resume one in 2025.
After teasing the route last week on Instagram, Royal Jordanian has scheduled service to its fourth U.S. destination starting next year.
