JSX said the route is being launched through a strategic partnership with the Economic Development Corporation of Lea County.

After nearly eight years without any flights, SkyWest and United will be bringing air service back to a small city in New Mexico.

Both Aero and JSX operate so-called semiprivate flights on Embraer aircraft. This week, the two carriers announced new and returning routes.
