A network outage disrupted Delta flights at Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Friday.

In a statement released early Friday morning, airport officials said Delta initiated a ground stop in Detroit while it worked to resolve the problem. The ground stop was later converted to a ground delay, according to the FAA.

The issue was specific to Delta and did not affect other airlines.

Detroit is a hub location for Delta. It operates from the McNamara Terminal.

“The Wayne County Airport Authority team is in the McNamara Terminal handing out concession vouchers to affected passengers,” the airport said. “We’re committed to supporting our customers during this time.”

Travelers were advised to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
