Key Takeaways:

Contour’s summer service between northern Alabama and Florida will restart early next month, officials said Thursday.

Flights between Northwest Alabama Regional Airport in Muscle Shoals and Pensacola, Florida, will commence May 6 and operate twice per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The carrier will use a 30-seat regional jet for the connection.

“We’re pleased to bring back our seasonal Pensacola service for travelers in the Shoals area,” Contour President Ben Munson said in a news release. “This route offers a simple, stress-free way to reach one of the Gulf Coast’s most popular beach destinations without the need to drive to a larger airport.”

Contour did not provide an end date for the service.

The carrier offers mainly short-haul flights, and has been adding seasonal and year-round routes ahead of the summer.
