Overview of Delta’s Recent Wide-Body Order

On Nov. 20, 2014, Delta selected Airbus for their new wide-bodied aircraft, instead of the rival bid from Boeing. Delta confirmed the order for 25 A350-900neo and 25 A330-900 aircraft, whilst Boeing based their bid on the 787-9 and the 777s. The two new types of aircraft will replace the retiring Boeing aircraft in the fleet, the 767-300ER and the 747-400.
