Jim Graham, the CEO of Delta regional subsidiary Endeavor Air, has announced he will be stepping down by the end of May.

At 50 feet above ground level, the aircraft’s rate of descent had increased to 1,114 feet per minute, triggering a “sink rate” warning.

A Delta passenger has filed one of the first lawsuits against the carrier following a flight that crashed at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday.

Delta has pushed back on “disinformation” regarding the qualifications of the Endeavor Air pilots on flight 4819, which crashed on Monday.

The addition comes as the airline’s regional subsidiary, Endeavor Air, said it would open a crew base in the North Carolina city.

Initially, the new base will have between 130 and 170 total crew members assigned. The airline already has a maintenance base at the North Carolina airport.

Due to the extremely low pay and high cost of flight training, the airline business is struggling to recruit pilots.
