Flight attendants at start-up carrier Breeze Airways have voted overwhelmingly to unionize, the AFA announced on Tuesday.

Late last week, Southwest Airlines’ flight attendants overwhelming rejected a proposed contract which had 36% cumulative pay raises.

American Airlines and CWA-IBT have come to a tentative agreement for the carrier’s passenger service agents with a vote set to take place in the coming weeks.

Flight attendants at American have not seen an amended Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) since the current version was signed in 2014.

The implications of the RLA are wide-reaching and many deviations have been made over the years to halt or hamper strike actions and lockouts.

SkyWest Airlines announced over the weekend that it will give flight attendants boarding pay. This makes SkyWest the second major airline in the United States, after Delta, to pay cabin crew during the boarding process.
