Flight attendants serve in roles far beyond the familiar scene of a smiling crew member performing the safety demonstration.

A federal judge has dismissed a class action lawsuit against American and manufacturer Twin Hill over claims that uniforms caused health issues.

The tentative deal includes several improvements for the carrier’s around 2,200 flight attendants, and is set to be voted on later this month.

Citing rising airport cost pressures, ultra-low-cost carrier Allegiant says it will end base operations at this airport, which began in 2009.

This move, Southwest said, is part of the carrier’s ongoing efforts to “further maximize our operational efficiency and reliability.”

After over two years of negotiations, flight attendants at Alaska Airlines have overwhelmingly voted to ratify a new three-year contract.

Breeze is planning to open its 11th base this summer. The airline says this addition will add more jobs and allow aircraft to remain overnight.
