LOT Polish Airlines

One of commercial aviation’s oldest airline logos remains the centerpiece of the Polish flag carrier’s fleet.

Five times weekly flights will start in October.

Service will start in May 2026.

The European airplane manufacturer announced Monday at the Paris Air Show that LOT placed a firm order for 20 A220-100s and 20 A220-300s.

In the last few years, the UAE-Poland market has seen significant growth, surpassing the 2019 high water mark by a multiple.

On July 25, Viasat, a satellite WiFi services provider that enables onboard connectivity for airlines, announced that LOT Polish Airlines chose its services.

The Polish national carrier reached peak performance in 2023, quoting not only financial results, but also number of operations.

The CEO of Embraer reiterated the company’s commitment towards securing a large narrowbody aircraft order from LOT Polish Airlines in the near future. 

This month, Michał Fijoł, recently appointed CEO of LOT Polish Airlines presented a strategy the carrier will follow in the coming years of 2024-2028. All the boxes in the previous document, outlining the growth for the years 2016-2020, had been checked ahead of time, back in 2019. Now with air transportation not without challenges, but on the fairly predictable path, it’s time for the next step forward.
