The airline’s commercial chief, Drew Wells, gave an “unequivocally yes” response when asked about international expansion on Tuesday.
Service to the state of Alaska, and especially Anchorage, has been increasing exponentially over the past several years.
The carrier will boost its presence on the U.S. West Coast, joining existing service to Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Currently, the Dallas-based carrier operates up to 40 flights per day between the U.S. mainland and the Hawaiian Islands.
In a statement, the Atlanta-based carrier shared that it hopes these flights will attract both leisure and business travelers.

Starting in July, the Fort Worth, Texas-based airline will exclusively serve the Alaskan city with Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The carrier has a total of eight 737-700s in active service along with 11 737-800s, all of which had previous operators.
