Delta unveiled a new cabin interior design on Tuesday that will be featured across its fleet starting this year.

The redesign, which will be introduced on a Boeing 757 aircraft later this fall followed by an Airbus A350 in early 2025, features a variety of modifications, including updated seating materials, enhanced lighting, and a more modern color palette, the airline said.

One of the most noticeable changes is the updated seating. Delta One seats will feature a new “breathable” fabric that is lighter and better regulates temperature. Delta Comfort+ and economy seats will have new memory foam cushions.

The refreshed cabins also feature new lighting programs designed to create a “calming onboard environment.” Mood lighting will be adjusted to suit each phase of the flight, helping passengers relax and rest or stay productive as needed.

“Delta has a 100-year history of creating a customer experience that feels welcoming and thoughtful with intentional design elements woven into every aspect of a customer’s travel,” said Mauricio Parise, vice president of customer experience design, in a news release. “As we embark on our next century of flying, this refreshed cabin interior infuses utility with beauty to create an atmosphere that feels fresh, elevated, and timeless while reflecting our customers’ evolving tastes and expectations.”
