Southwest on Thursday announced a significant expansion of its 2026 schedule, with a focus on hub locations in Southern markets.
The carrier is adding routes and flights to and from Austin, Texas, Las Vegas, Nashville, Tennessee, San Diego, and Orlando, Florida.
Bookings are now available through Oct. 31. Exact start dates were not provided for most of the new routes.
“We are continuing to add more Southwest service for our customers in the places where we’re already strong,” Adam Decaire, Southwest’s senior vice president of network planning and network operations control, said in a news release. “We will meet our customers where they are with an enhanced product that complements our best-in-class reliability and service.”
From Austin, Southwest is adding year-round service to Memphis, Tennessee, and Saturday seasonal service to Santa Rosa, California, and Knoxville, Tennessee.
The carrier’s first international redeye flight, between Las Vegas and San Jose, Costa Rica, will operate daily. Southwest does not currently serve the Costa Rican capital.
From Nashville, the airline will offer new connections to Reno, Nevada, and Burbank, California.
On Oct. 1, service between San Diego and Los Cabos, Mexico, is scheduled to expand from once daily to twice daily, based on seasonal demand.
In Orlando, Florida, Southwest will increase service to Albuquerque, New Mexico, Cleveland, Ohio, El Paso, Texas, Memphis, and Louisville, Kentucky. The additions are seasonal and based on expected demand, the carrier said.
Separately, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in New Hampshire announced that Southwest will begin flights to Nashville on Oct. 1. The route will operate five days per week, on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
With the addition of Nashville, Southwest will serve five destinations nonstop from Manchester, the others being Orlando, Baltimore-Washington, Chicago Midway, and Tampa, Florida.
