The carrier has ordered $41.4 billion worth of new aircraft at the Dubai Airshow so far.

The deal is Air Senegal’s first order placed with Boeing in over 20 years.

The carrier is the largest operator of the type in Africa.

Airline officials said the new aircraft will strengthen medium- and long-haul operations.

EgyptAir’s current fleet comprises 66 active aircraft, with the Boeing 737-800 dominating at 27 jets and are on average eleven and a half years old.
