Fifth Freedom

The UAE’s flag carrier Emirates has confirmed that it will be cutting a long-served route from Singapore to Melbourne, Australia.

Brazilian airline Azul has planned an expansion of its network with a new fifth-freedom route between Curaçao and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

In May, Emirates is starting service to Cambodia via Singapore while adding another fifth freedom flight option for passengers.

Singapore Airlines will be suspending operations from Los Angeles to Taipei, Taiwan beginning mid-February — the end of the airline’s winter schedule.
