After a long hiatus due to ongoing political tensions in many Middle East nations, European low-cost carriers are finally resuming flights to Jordan.

South African Airways (SAA) will offer additional frequencies on a number of routes to cater to increased passenger numbers over the summer.

Delta is axing one of its long-standing transatlantic routes next year, an airline spokesperson confirmed to AirlineGeeks on Friday.

Delta is adding another destination to its schedule from Austin–Bergstrom International Airport, continuing a period of expansion in Central Texas.

The order is valued at $4.4 billion at list prices, not including the optional aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027.

Ultra-low-cost carrier Allegiant will shake up its network early next year with three additional routes and a brand-new destination.

American is adding a brand-new destination to its network that is not currently served by any U.S. carriers. Service is slated to launch in early 2026. 

Frontier will launch 22 new routes in November and December, expanding service across the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Spirit will discontinue service in 11 U.S. markets this fall as part of a broader network adjustment, a spokesperson told AirlineGeeks on Wednesday.

In the U.S., Royal Jordanian also serves Detroit, Chicago O’Hare, New York-JFK, and recently began flights to Washington Dulles.
