Delta is adding another destination to its schedule from Austin–Bergstrom International Airport, continuing a period of expansion in Central Texas.
Beginning Nov. 22, the carrier will launch daily nonstop flights to Miami. The service will be operated with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
With this addition, Delta says it will offer nearly 30 destinations from Austin. The airline has billed itself as the city’s “leading global carrier” as it builds out its network from the airport.
“Building off this recent announcement, today Delta is announcing yet another new destination from Austin,” a spokesperson said on Friday.
The Miami route follows several other network announcements Delta has made from Austin in recent months. Last month, the airline said it plans to link Austin with Denver, Columbus, Ohio, and Kansas City.
American operates up to three daily flights in each direction between Austin and its Miami hub. Frontier and Southwest also serve the route.
