United has resumed normal operations after a technology problem grounded airplanes and delayed over 1,000 flights late Wednesday.

Alaska Airlines has resumed operations after a technology-related glitch forced the carrier to ground all flights for about three hours late Sunday night.

The latest communications outage marks the second time this month that technology failures have occurred at the facility.

Delta’s Q3 2024 earnings report released on Thursday saw earnings per share take a 45-cent hit in the third quarter due to the CrowdStrike outages.

The report states that the incident caused around 7,000 flight cancellations over the course of five days, leading to $500M in lost revenue.

CrowdStrike attorney Michael Carlinsky said in a letter that it was misleading to say CrowdStrike was responsible for Delta’s IT decisions.

Delta CEO Ed Bastian said the CrowdStrike-Microsoft IT outages that disrupted airlines across the country on July 19 cost the company $500 million.
