American filed a motion with the DOT on Friday, requesting an expansion of its previously granted temporary dormancy waiver for certain U.S.-Cuba flights.

Despite the reductions, American says it will continue to operate more than 60 daily flights to over 15 destinations in Europe this fall.

Delta is making some adjustments to its domestic network. This time, the airline plans to cut one of its long-standing routes from New York.

In August, Air Canada’s transborder capacity will be down nearly 12% compared to the same period last year, as measured by Available Seat Miles.

American plans to bolster its intra-Florida network with the return of a route last served by the airline in January 2009.

Delta is slated to bolster its network early next year with the addition of more routes. These flights will begin in late December and early January.

Arajet’s newest route comes after plans to expand in four U.S. markets in March. At the time, the carrier served 22 international destinations in 18 countries.

Delta is planning to cut three routes later this year. These changes include some flights to Canada and a recently resumed route.

American is growing its Northeast network with a batch of routes, including some new markets from New York LaGuardia and Washington’s Reagan National. 

American is expanding its winter schedule with the addition of seven routes and increased service in some existing markets.
