Avianca Holdings Files for Chapter 11 Protection, Closes Peru Subsidiary

Avianca Holdings and some of its subsidiaries "voluntarily file[d]" for chapter 11 bankruptcy in the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York in the U.S., the airline announced on May 10.
