The route is scheduled to commence on May 11, 2025, operating three times per week on WestJet’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

A DHL cargo plane crashed as it was trying to land Monday morning at the Vilnius International Airport in Lithuania.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier announced 10 new routes on Monday as part of its “rapid expansion program,” which are set to begin next year.

The Atlanta-based airline has added a plethora of new routes from the Texas capital in recent months, many of which to non-hub markets.

These new routes will connect passengers from 21 airports across the United States and the Caribbean, the carrier said in a Tuesday news release.

British Airways is slated to cut two U.S. flights next summer as the carrier continues to face Rolls-Royce engine troubles.

Following seven new European route announcements, American is also adding more service to London Heathrow starting next summer.

The announcement comes just over a month after the Fort Worth-based airline added five new long-haul routes in September.

The German carrier continues to face ongoing aircraft shortages as it awaits delivery of new Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 jets. 

Delta is expanding its long-haul network yet again with a new South America route that is slated to begin in January 2025.
